Comedy Publicist
​In 2019, I made the leap from a successful career as a journalist, reviewer and editor to work in the comedy industry full time. I adore comedy, so utilising my media knowledge and contacts to boost the profiles of talented performers is one of the best and most rewarding decisions I've ever made.
​
(Give or take the pandemic) I have spent five years working at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, most recently as Press and Publicity Manager at Underbelly, championing 150+ shows in their 2023 programme and leading their Press Office throughout August. I have also worked as Press Officer @theSpaceUK, supported dozens of individual comedy acts' press campaigns working with Lily Marriott PR, as well as leading PR strategies for various comedians under my own steam in 2019 and 2022.
Joining Avalon UK in 2020, I had the privilege of publicising several household name comedians' (including Matt Forde and Russell Howard) live tours and TV show campaigns and, in 2022, I worked as a Communications Officer at the BBC's Press Office and Programmes Desk promoting numerous show launches and live events.

Comedy Writer
​My love for comedy spurred me to write and perform stand-up. I graduated the National Film and Television School's ‘Comedy Writing and Producing’ diploma in 2024. I wrote and produced comedy short film The Death Knock (click here to watch it). It's a teaser sketch for a sitcom pilot idea (seeking development!) based on my very real experiences working in the weird and wonderful women's true-life magazine industry.

Podcaster
As is mandatory for anyone working in comedy, I co-host a podcast. Talking Bottom takes a deep dive into Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson's legendary 90s BBC sitcom Bottom. You can access it via Apple, YouTube, Spotify, Podbean... Wherever you can get it, grab it. And the podcast.

Talking Bottom was honoured to be invited to take part in the 2024 UKTV Gold documentary 'Bottom: Exposed'. Watch it on Sky/Now TV.
